Starmade: manufacturing - how to build an automatic production system
June 27, 2013
I mentioned in the previous video on manufacturing that I wanted an automated system where I would not have to worry which ores were entered into which input... well here is a simple dump and forget system while the ores are used from the 1,000 schemadyne to 30,000 schemadyne to make a range of random ship parts.
This is nice and simple to build.
It requires 6 mineral separators, 12 particle presses, 1 factory input, and 2 of each version of the schemadyne (not the advanced version).
Now I recommend making a Y shape with the 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 schemadynes on one side and the 10,000, 20,000, and 30,000 on the other. Now connect the mineral extractors to the input. Connect 2 of the particle separators to a each of the mineral extractors. Then connect the schemadynes to the particle separator. Enjoy.
I have noticed a couple of the schemadynes like to horde components, but a large quantity of components can easily be dumped into the factory input which will be divided more fairly between schemadynes and help produce a wider range of ship parts.
This system is really just a load up and forget. Extra ship parts can be sold such as the turret docking ports for a nice profit.
Hope this helps,
